Poole Sailability Board

Poole Sailability is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation(CIO) whose affairs are managed and guided by a board of trustees, who are elected at the AGM by the members. The charity must have a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 10 trustees who are responsible for ensuring :-

  • The income and property of the CIO must be applied solely towards the promotion of the objects.
  • The CIO meets all legal requirements. E.g. financial and health and safety.
  • The charities constitution is abided by
  • Forward Planning to ensure the charity is there for the long term
  • Poole Sailability has a positive local reputation.

Each of the current trustees, named below, has an allocated area of responsibility as follows: -

Nick Berendt – Chair, responsible for fundraising and safeguarding

Robert Stone - Treasurer, responsible for financial matters, legally required returns

Steve Town – Honorary Secretary, meetings management, records, policies and strategy

David Howarth - Environment, outreach group bookings support

Dawn Geer - Membership
