Trial Sails and New Members

Poole Sailability welcomes anyone with impaired health or disability to join our mixed ability sailing club. We can accommodate most disabilities but you should be able to board one of our boats unaided, or with limited physical assistance. We do not have a hoist.

Trial Sails - Each Friday morning we have a session when you have the chance to try sailing. If you would like to book, send us an email at including a phone number, and we will contact you and set a date.
On arrival, you will be greeted by a volunteer and asked to fill in a short form with contact information. You will then be helped to fit a lifejacket, and introduced to other members and your skipper for the sail. You may have a maximum of three free taster sessions. If you enjoy these, you will be welcome to join as a member for the season.

If you represent a local disability group and would like to arrange a session, please email

Club Membership - Once you have decided you would like to continue sailing with Poole Sailability, we will make the arrangements and tell you how to book a sail. There is a small membership fee, and no other charge. Our club sailing sessions are held on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings.

Children under 18 and Vulnerable Adults must be accompanied on site by a parent or carer.
